In 1999, NTT-Docomo launches the worlds first Mobile Internet Service and content portal called i-mode. Around the same time, General Radio Packet Service (GPRS), a GSM Network standard, sets the foundations of the future of Mobile Internet globally using WAP (Wireless Application Protocol).
